August 20 Post VacationitisAlright, I got back from vacation, and have been trying to get back in the groove foodwise, exercisewise, and workwise, homecleaningwise, and having difficulty in all areas, I want to still be on vacation and do what I want not what I need. School starts next week-I cannot believe summer is almost over! What happened to my mojo, my umph, my KICKASSEDNESS, someone please come kick my ass to help me get back on track. Congrats to this weeks winners, I got 4th, no medal for 4th, aw man, I spent too much time actually watching the Olympics. Love the SWIMMING and DIVING. I want to Dive again. Had a great time on vacation too. Got in some exercises. School starts next week, so my plan is to simplify meals, and drop Jonathan off at school and make it to the gym at least 3 mornings a week, then walk the track while he is at football practice. MUST GET THIN, MUST LOSE FASTER. Since this is the last week of the Olympics hope everyone is hitting it hard. It's my last chance to get on that medal stand. I was sooooo close last week I could taste it. Kelley August 18 Medal Winners DelayedMy brain was turned off during vacation so I'm too tired to add points tonight so Medal Winners will be posted tomorrow. Even though it was overcast, I had a blast at the beach, beat the previous 44 days of stifling 100 degree weather in Austin. I had more self-confidence. I boogie boarded and built a sand castle and Jonathan just had a blast playing in the waves. And not having to deal with sunburns is a good thing too. Then I got back and took a cuff making (bracelet) class at our local bead shop and it turned out FAULOUS. I'll try to get pics up of the beach and the bracelet tomorrow-after the medal winners are posted. Kelley August 17 where's the tan?We spent 3 days at the beach (went down Thursday night and came back Sunday) and I don't have much of a tan. It rained most of the day Saturday and was actually chilly at the beach. We came back early Sunday and I had to go and lie out by the pool so I can have some assemblance of a tan before I go back to work. It was cut short as well due to rain. My mantra is: tan fat looks better than white fat :) Kristie August 14 Happy ThursdayYea, I don't have to go back to work until Tuesday, we're headed to the coast to meet up with Kristie for a August 12 THE OLYMPICS ROCKMAN, the swimming is so exciting this year. AND LAST NIGHT TEXAS LONGHORN, AARON PEIRSOL SMASHES THE WORLD RECORD AND TAKES GOLD. Makes me want to get my bonus points for swimming. WOW OUR OLYMPICS-THE USA OLYMPICS I can't help but feel good this week even though the August 10 AND THE WINNERS ARE.........For the second week in a row a new Gold Medalist Emerges.....Week FOUR Olympic Medal Winners GOLD SILVER BRONZE

I should have put house cleaning on as an Olympic Sport-I cleaned my house for 4.5 hours today, and oh, it looks sooooo much better. And I've decided I just can't wait for cooler weather, even though its supposed to be over 100 for like the 46th day this summer, I am going to go walk the track during Jonathan's football practice. Last year we only had 3 days of above 100's UGGHHHHH. Last week I slacked and didn't feel well, but I'm back this week. I only have 2 weeks left to try to medal. Hopefully I'll get some bonus points this week. Good Luck to all of you too. Kelley
But watch out for Higher Points this week as some old favorites have returned. Catch Olympic Fever in NBC and in your own backyard.
GO USA GO SBIT'S August 09 Olympic FeverMan I love watching the Olympics. The US won the first 3 medals of the games. Gold Silver and Bronze in women's fencing. Makes me want to get out there and take up a sport. To make the day even better, I found some capris I bought at an end of summer sale last year that were too small. I am wearing them today! I got a call from my old neighborhood where Kelley and I grew up and got invited to a street party. Have a great weekend fellow Olympians. Kristie ENERGY IS COMING BACKWell it's still hot as hell, and molds are still off the chart and zapping me, but I woke up today with a little more energy, worked on decluttering my kitchen a little, and made a list of things I need to do before the first Sat. in Dec. (WTF, me MISS MAJOR procarastinator actually thinking that far in advance?) Well yes, the total dork in me will be showing off my ceramic village on a Tour of Homes and I need to figure out what needs to be done BEFORE I start to create and build my little towns. I can't promise how soon I'll get to my list but just making the frickin list is so beyond what I normally do-it just put me in a better mood. It's sooo weird, how soooo many of us live so far from each, have never met each other face-to-face yet seem to rollercoaster through ups and downs together BEYOND COINCIDENCE TO ME!!!Kelley August 08 YOUR FAVORITES ARE BACKThe Olympic Committee has brought back your favorite events, although some of the point values have changed. Also, no events were retired, and some new events were even added. Have fun And get those points so you too can be a medal winner. And stay tuned, we may add a back to school Report Card Challenge with different subjects-with PE only being a small piece. HMMMM what can those sisters be up to next hmmmmm?????? August 07 LAST CHANCE WORKOUT AND CHANGESToday is your last chance workout for week 4 of the Olympics. Turn in your points no matter how few, because there was a lot of heat, allergies and other issues throwing off some of the contestants. It's also your last chance to give the Olympic Committee your ideas for events for the FINAL TWO WEEKS, as the Olympic Committee may be retiring or bringing back past events and/or adding new ones. You can either make suggestions here, on the event page, or private message. This was my off week as well, but I'll be coming back strong next week to earn my Century Ride. Don't forget to get your points in Fri or Sat. Feeling a little better today-maybe 92.4% But must hit it hard tomorrow morning before weigh-in. GOOD LUCK OLYMPIANS. Kelley August 06 UGH-OFF WEEKUGH-I've been off this week, SUnday morning we went to church and it was so hot I almost passed out, my friend took my son hiking, and I slept for 4 hours, My allergies have really been bothering me all week, and I have ABSOLUTELY NO ENERGY, it is sooooooo hard to workout and eat right when I am so drained, and Jonathan started football practice and it has been sooooo hot. Yesterday was a little better because it was overcast. I think that the first time it drops down below 100, I'll start walking the track while he practices. Then I too can get my 10 point bonus. This week less people reported their scores and scores ranged from 6-67. But we shouldn't compare it since some events were retired. WAY TO GO OLYMPIANS. Keep earning those points. Thursday evening, the end of week 4 THE OLYMPIC COMMITTEE WILL BE CHANGING UP THE PLAY AGAIN. And yes, crunches will be back. Fly paper for freaksLast night I got a knock at my door and my neighbor (condos) had thrown away my 16 year old pineapple plants and potted her plants in MY pots on MY doorstep. WHAT???? My plants were already in the dumpster before she told me. I swear I am fly paper for FREAKS! Kristie August 02 WE NEED YOUR POINTSPLease get your point totals in today. So we can hand out the medals. One more week then the Olympic Committee promises to add crunches back as an event. So yesterday Jonathan had his first football practive ever, from 6-8 in 102 weather. There were about 100 boys there and 6 of them threw up.(Imagine the points hee hee) they then lectured them about sodas and junk food. Jonathan came up to me, and said he was glad that we didn't eat like that anymore. WOW. They have a track where he has football so I'm going to start walking while he has practice. But next practice please at least send some clouds or breeze. August 01 WEEK 4 STARTS TODAYWEEK 4 STARTS TODAY. Don't forget to send in last week's totals by tomorrow night. Since we kind of beefed up the points, it seems like there were less points all the way around. I know that I for one have never worked out as hard as I have these past 3 weeks. The first week i tried to jump rope- I SUCKED, I couldn't even do it for a minute without tripping or dieing, yesterday I did 2 minutes and only tripped once. It's funny because at my Gym they are starting the Golds Games. They are going to have Jump Rope-how long you can jump without tripping, how many push-ups, how many sit-ups, how many leg presses and bench presses at your own weight. I thought about the jump roping thing for about a minute but I swear there are men that LIVE THERE, there are men I see there EVERYTIME I GO no matter when I go. And I like our Olympics better anyway. You guys are WAY COOLER.
***UPDATE-I lost .5 today, at first I was a little disappointed but then I realize that this is the FIRST time since I started that I have lost 4 weeks in a row-so even during TOM I lost weight. OMG-I'm sooooooo excited......I just can't hide it......... July 31 Last NightWell last night was successful, I stuck to my plan-I ended up splitting some spinach quesadillas with a friend and drank my sparling water, and I flirted a little bit. I had a good time. TODAY is last chance workout. It looks like everyone is having less points this week due to the changes in the events, but it looks like everyone is still working HARD OR EVEN HARDER. I sure have-my days off used to be totally days off-lounging, Guitar Hero-and now my days off consist of water exercise or at least walking. That's a change I can live with the rest of my life. I loved Tammy's Blog earlier this week and how people made odes to it. I'm so in the same boat. I've said it before but I HAVE NEVER stuck to a eating and exercise plan for 7 months. I have lost and gained more weight back already in the same period of time. I truly believe that sane days are truly that. SANE-I remind myself-if I really want something I can have it on Sat. I did that with the beer and onion rings last night-then by Sat. I probably won't even want those because I'll want ice cream instead. Well gotta get to the gym..... July 29 Tomorrow a New TestOK, so I have one offline friend who has been bery supportive of me the past couple of months, and she said, I don't want to sabotage you or tempt you, but you need to come to pint night tomorrow night and have some fun. I don't think I've really lost enough weight to go all out and flirt, but my self-confidence is improving, and I feel that I can go into that bar tomorrow night, order sparkling water with lime, stay away from appetizers(if something looks amazing i'll just go back on Sat. and get it) so I have no expectations but I do plan on talking to at least 2 men my friends or I have ever met. I'll let you know. And thanks Danielle for telling people not to do bridges and wall sits everyday-my legs were so sore last night it effected my sleep. So today I'm earning easier points. This week 19 people reported their scores and scores ranged from 4-116. 13 people improved their scores from last week. WAY TO GO OLYMPIANS. 2 new players also joined the Olympics this week. Keep racking up those points and keep burning those calories. The Olympic Committee July 26 Sane Day Has Come To An EndI know I'm not supposed to be rewarding myself with food but it was sane day today and I have finally lost 30 pounds so maybe it was just a coincidence that my son asked to go to Bennigans (he gets the sane day thing) and we split a "Death By Chocolate" what a nice day. And I'm also getting a new fence-When I moved here last year the fence needed to be replaced and I'm finally doing it-Can't wait until it's finished, and I can't believe I'm so lame that I'm excited by a frickin fence-I should be-Why does a fence have to be soooo frickin expensive-OMG! I could have gone on a really awesome vacation for that. But I do love my dogs and my older one has become the escape artist since we moved. Our year old Lab would stay in the backyard with no fence but that's alright. Went swimming again today and played some frisbee. I really need to be running to train for my women's adventure race in Sept-I have to be able to trail run 2 miles, but ugh I hate running. The rafting part will be fine and the MYSTERY event is so exciting-MUST RUN TOMORROW, MUST RUN TOMORROW. Medal Winners will also be posted tomorrow. I also just joined Facebook(I'm such the computer person now-NOT, anyway it has a riverboarding group(which is just now catching on the US but I did it in Africa) and my new goal for next summer is to be in good enough shape to go Riverboarding again-anyone want to join me? |
